Ham Radio Transmitters

Unlike other communication users, ham radio amateurs are allowed to build or to modify their transmitting equipment.  The shortwave bands allow for worldwide communication; the VHF and UHF bands are excellent for regional communication.

Licensed users can use any frequency in their bands rather than being assigned to a certain channel.  Transmitters can operate on a wide range of frequencies with medium to high-powered equipment.  They do have to meet certain emission interference standards.

Vintage, new, and used transmitters are sold on eBay.  Be sure to look at the longevity and ratings of the seller.  Check out the return policy and shipping charge as well.  Don’t be surprised!
